Why do you charge restocking fees?Updated 16 days ago
Restocking fees ensure that returns can be processed fairly and responsibly. Performance parts are not like apparel — once a box is opened or a part is handled, manufacturers incur real costs to restock or scrap items.
Key Reasons Restocking Fees Are Necessary
1. Manufacturer-Imposed Fees
Many brands automatically charge restocking fees for any return, even if the part is unused.
2. Quality Control
Returned items must be:
Inspected
Re-certified
Repackaged
Labeled
Returned to inventory
This process requires labor and time.
3. Packaging and Materials
Parts often require custom packaging, foam inserts, or protective films that cannot be reused.
4. Processing & Administrative Time
Returns require coordination between:
Revline
Manufacturers
Warehouses
Distributors
Carriers
This administrative work is part of the fee.
5. Payment Processor Deductions
Payment processors (Shopify, PayPal, banks) do not refund merchant fees — even when the merchant refunds the order.
Restocking fees offset these unrecoverable costs.
Our Commitment
We only charge restocking fees when required and never on returns involving our error or a verified defect.
