Can I return an item that has been installed or test-fitted?Updated 16 days ago

No. Once an item has been installed, mounted, torqued, wired, or test-fitted in any way, it becomes final sale and cannot be returned.

This is an industry-standard policy across all automotive manufacturers and distributors.

Why Installed Parts Cannot Be Returned

Installed or test-fitted items:

  • Cannot be resold as new

  • May have safety or wear concerns

  • May contain internal damage not visible

  • Are often flagged by manufacturers as “used”

  • Can no longer be certified for resale or warranty

Even a brief or partial installation makes the item non-returnable.

Examples of “Installed” or “Attempted Installation”

These conditions disqualify a return:

  • Bolting the part onto the vehicle

  • Torqueing hardware, even once

  • Scratching mounting points

  • Plugging in electrical connectors

  • Cutting or modifying any part

  • Removing protective films or seals

  • Test-fitting a body part resulting in scuffs or alignment marks

If any of these occur, the item is permanently considered used.
